Summary: To commemorate the 25th anniversary of Andy Kaufman’s (supposed) death, this new DVD of two of his best-known films contains never-before-seen bonus features. There was always the possibility that Andy Kaufman’s obsession with pro wrestling was an act, an angry spoof of the nexus of sport and sideshow – pro wrestling. In the events chronicled in “I’m From Hollywood”, however, Kaufman finally morphs into a wrestling heel like none other, taking a Memphis wrestling match with a woman named Foxy to new levels of politically incorrect behavior – to put it lightly. When Foxy’s trainer Jerry Lawler body-slams Kaufman into the hospital, the result is a publicized vendetta against Lawler and, eventually, all of Tennessee. This is Kaufman at his most dangerous, exposing the soft white underbelly of American culture, while sacrificing his own career to a level of performance art that has not been replicated since. Kaufman's antics are again center stage in “My Breakfast With Blassie”, as he hops a Hollywood bus to visit and eat with his old friend Greddie Blassie, self-proclaimed King of Men and professional wrestler. Kaufman and Blassie discuss wrestling, stardom, hygiene, and whether to eat bacon or sausage in this classic piece of performance art.
