Summary: During the late eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries, the Canadian colonies face great changes and upheavel. The United States tried to invade and conquer Canada during the revolutionary War and the War of 1812. Loyalists fleeing the United States after the American Revolution flooded into Canada, bringing an influx of conservative British settlers who would influence the growth of Canada throughtout history.
