Summary: This is a fictional account of five children- Thomas, Wilson,Joey, Monica, and Nelson who are sent to aboriginal boarding school. The stories are based on the recollections of a number of Tsartlip First Nations people. The five children are taken from Tsartlip Day School to live at Kuper Island Residential School where they suffer the pain of homesickness and confusion over their new regimented life, away from family, traditions and language.
